A good office chair has many setting options that ensure that the chair can be set just right for everyone. This is to prevent complaints and to increase comfort. There are two health and safety standards: the European N (s) 1335 quality mark and the even stricter Dutch NPR183.
Office chairs within this standard have been found suitable for anyone with a body height between 151 and 192 cm. The standard sets minimum requirements for the options and adjustability that the office chair must meet. Think of the seat height, sitting depth, back adjustment and adjustability of the armrests.
The NPR standard goes a little further than the N (s) standard. The range of adjustability in particular continues. For example, NPR office chairs are also suitable for anyone who is longer than 192 cm. Because these seats are often more expensive than the N (s) variants, we only advise them for more than 192 cm or flex spots.
