Almost 10 billion trees disappear every year. The consequences of this are enormous for people, animals and the climate. As a young company, we think it is important to invest in the environment and therefore also the future 🌍. Did you know that in Europe there are 12 million cupboards, 21 million chairs, 3 million kitchens, 7.2 million tables and no less than 18.4 million mattresses are thrown away?
Planting trees
Together with our partner Eden Reforestation Projects We plant trees to reduce CO2 emissions. Eden Reforestation Projects manages 241,150+ hectares.
Sustainable (er) products
For many of our products, alternatives are available with sustainability benefits. For example, consider new office chairs Regain upholstery, made from 100% recycled PET bottles, or the Facet upholstery From 100% recycled wool.
Even more sustainable is the purchase of one Refurbished office chair Instead of a new office chair.
Choose an extra scoop of sustainability and leave your old office chair through us to repair. In this way we extend the lifespan together and we prevent unnecessary purchase of new products.
Returns and sustainability
It is good to be aware that every transport movement generates CO2 emissions. Together with our customers, we work to reduce and advise the customer as well as possible in advance by the customer.
What happens to a return?
Products that return are very extensively checked by us. Only if the product is 100% new, unused and undamaged can it be offered again as a new product. All other products are offered in our sample sale With a clear description of any user traces. No returns are burned or thrown away.

Be well advised when selecting your product. Returning or exchange is always possible, but it is even better to make the right choice in one go. We are therefore happy to help you with advice and tips to make a conscious choice.
Delivery and sustainability
We deliver the majority of our range ourselves with our own modern fleet and our own drivers. In 2024 we did a test with delivery with electrically powered delivery vans. Unfortunately, this test showed that the current technology is not yet an appropriate solution in terms of load capacity, driving range, loading time, driving times and well -being for our drivers. Our planners ensure that the cars drive their routes full and efficiently. We inform you about the delivery day and the time that our driver comes by. Help unnecessary kilometers to reduce by contacting in time if the delivery time does not work out well or if we are allowed to deliver to the neighbors, for example.
Package
We do not add extra packaging to the products that we sell. So you will find with us No colored boxes full of logos, but only the packaging that the manufacturer needs to be able to send the product with sufficient protection. For products that are supplied, the delivery person takes back the present packaging so that it can be reused or recycled.
Sustainability certification Thuiswinkel (in application)
On April 11, 2024, Thuiswinkel introduced De Nieuwe sustainability certification For web stores. With this certification, web stores are independently certified on 6 essential sustainability themes: sustainability strategy, circular economy, product range, packaging, delivery and returns. Within an hour after this introduction we signed up for the acceleration program. In the coming months we will work with a group of 20 web stores with e-learning, workshops and strategy sessions with the aim of winning the certificate in October 2024.
